From disciplined high-volume mailroom scanning operations to individual desktop ad hoc scanning, BlueThread leverages the right capture components built upon a single framework.

Scanning/Indexing/Release
Documents can be captured from any WIA, ISIS, TWAIN or compliant scanner. Once captured, the software performs various enhancement functions such as black border removal, line removal, de-skew, de-speckle, and character repair.

Pages can be separated using barcodes, patch-codes or forms recognition plug-ins. Indexing documents can be automated using bar-code recognition, full-text or zonal OCR/ICR/OMR, rubber-band indexing, or automated database lookups and metadata validation. Other key (non-index) data can even be entered and uploaded into your existing Line-of-business system(s) to eliminate redundant keying.

Once captured and indexed, documents and their associated metadata are released to a SharePoint repository in either .TIF or .PDF formats via BlueThread's high-speed import utility.
